Sable is owned and operated by IDKWebsites LLC ("Sable", "we", "us"). Sable keeps a home service business organized: calls, messages, quotes, jobs, invoices, and a simple website, in one place. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. It covers asksable.com and the Sable service.
What We Collect
When you fill out a form on this site or sign up for Sable, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email address, and what kind of work you do.
When you use Sable to run your business, we store the information you put into it: your services, your prices, your customers' names and contact details, job notes, photos you upload for quotes, and the quotes, invoices, and messages you send and receive through Sable.
When calls or text messages run through your Sable number, we store those communications, including recordings and transcripts of calls, so your records stay complete.
When you connect outside accounts, like Instagram, Facebook, Google Business, or Stripe, we store the access tokens needed to do the things you ask Sable to do with those accounts.
When you visit this website, we collect basic visit data through Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. It does not use cookies and it does not build a profile of you.
We do not store payment card numbers. Stripe handles that directly.
How We Use It
We use your information to run Sable for you: answering and routing calls, drafting quotes and invoices, scheduling jobs, sending the messages you approve, following up with your customers, and keeping your website current.
We use it to reach out when you ask us to, like when you request early access, and to support you when something needs a human.
We do not sell your data. We do not sell your customers' data. We do not use your information or your customers' information to advertise to anyone.
Automated Drafting
Sable uses software, including artificial intelligence models from our service providers, to transcribe calls and to draft quotes, messages, and invoices for you. Drafts wait for your approval before they go to a customer. The exception is features you choose to turn on that respond on their own, like call answering and appointment reminders. When call answering is on, an automated assistant talks with your callers in real time, and you see the recording and transcript afterward.
Our providers process this data only to provide the service to us. They do not get the right to use your data or your customers' data for their own purposes, including training their models.
Calls and Recordings
Calls answered or placed through your Sable number may be recorded and transcribed so you have a complete record of every conversation. You control this in your settings.
Call recording laws differ by state. You are responsible for following the recording and notice laws that apply where you and your customers are located. If the law where you work requires telling callers about recording, we will help you set that up.
Text Messages
If you give us your phone number and check the text message box on our early access or signup form, you are opting in to receive text messages about your Sable account, like new lead alerts, items waiting for your approval, and setup help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help, or email support@asksable.com.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding the vendors and carriers that deliver the messages for us.
Messages Sable sends to your customers are sent on your behalf and at your direction. You are responsible for having your customers' permission to contact them. Anyone who receives a text from a Sable number can reply STOP to stop receiving messages or HELP for help. Sable honors STOP automatically, and that person will receive no further texts from that number unless they opt back in.
Who We Share It With
We share data with the service providers that make Sable work, and only so they can do their job for us:
Stripe processes payments. Their policy is at stripe.com/privacy. Phone and messaging carriers deliver your calls and texts. Our email provider delivers email. Our hosting provider runs our infrastructure. Our AI providers transcribe and draft, as described above.
Our providers may use your data only to provide their services to us. Stripe and the phone and messaging carriers are the exception: they also process payment and communications data under their own privacy policies, for things like fraud prevention, network operation, and legal compliance.
We do not share data with anyone else, except if the law requires it. If that ever happens, we will tell you unless we are legally prohibited from doing so. If Sable is ever part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, your data may transfer with it. We will notify you before that happens, and the new owner must honor this policy.
Connected Accounts and Data Deletion
If you connect a social account, like Instagram or Facebook, we receive only the data needed to do what you asked: showing your messages in your inbox and publishing the posts you approve. You can disconnect any account at any time from your settings. When you disconnect, we delete the stored tokens right away and the platform data we stored, like message history from that account, within 30 days.
To delete data we received from a connected account, disconnect the account in settings or email support@asksable.com with the request. We delete it within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
Your Customers' Information
The customer records you keep in Sable belong to you. We process them only to run Sable for your business. We do not contact your customers for our own purposes and we do not advertise to them.
If one of your customers asks us to delete their information, we will tell you and help you handle the request.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we hold your data for 30 days so you can export it. After 30 days we delete it.
You can request deletion at any time by emailing support@asksable.com.
Your Rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, export your customers, jobs, quotes, and invoices, correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it. If your state gives you additional privacy rights, we honor those too.
To make any of these requests, email support@asksable.com. We respond within 30 days.
Children
Sable is built for business owners. It is not for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child gave us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit. Access inside our team is limited to the people who need it to support you. If we ever have a breach that affects your data, we will tell you promptly and explain what happened.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes we will notify you by email before they take effect.
